* Shoreline Women's Soccer Team in Semifinals

The Shoreline Community College's women's soccer team faces Walla Walla Community College in the semifinals of the NWAACC Women's Soccer Championship at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila, Wash.

Walla Walla is 23-0-0 on the season and is the top ranked team in the NWAACC women's soccer division. Shoreline is 18-1-2 on the season, with the one defeat by virtue of a forfeit, and the Lady Dolphins are ranked third in the NWAACC women's soccer rankings.

Shoreline defeated Clark College on Saturday to advance to the semifinals in a penalty-kick shootout after the game ended in a 0-0 tie through regulation and overtime. The Lady Dolphins dominated the shootout, winning 4-2 on penalty kicks. Walla Walla defeated Lane College on Saturday, 5-1 to earn the right to play SCC.

The other two teams in the women's championship are Clackamas Community College (13-6-4), champions of the South Region, and Columbia Basin College (16-3-3), runners-up to Walla Walla in the Eastern Region.

If Shoreline wins on Saturday, they will advance to the finals at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 23. If they lose, SCC would play the loser of Clackamas/Columbia Basin for third place at 10 a.m., Sunday.
