Anna Sterner is the newest tenured instructor at Shoreline Community College.
Sterner, a Registered Nurse who also holds a Master’s in Nursing, as been teaching in Shoreline’s Nursing Program since 2009. Sterner’s tenure was granted at the Dec. 5, 2012 Board of Trustees meeting.
The meeting was attended by much of the nursing-program faculty, who erupted in cheers after the unanimous board vote. “Thank you so much,” said Sterner, who was joined by her husband, son and parents.
Sterner received her bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Washington and Masters in Nursing from the University of Washington – Bothell. In 2008, she did graduate field work at Shoreline for her master’s degree.
Sterner’s nursing career includes positions With Swedish and Providence hospitals. She most recently worked in the neurointensive car unit at the Swedish Cherry Hill facility.
